As the worst team in the league last season, the Bobcats had some work to do. They signed Al Jefferson from Utah and took Cody Zeller fourth-overall in the draft. That combined with Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Ben Gordon, Bismack Biyombo will definitely give them more wins this year than last season. Fortunately, for the Suns’ draft position, just the signing if Al Jefferson should give Charlotte the ability to pass Phoenix in the standings.

So, in the Southwest, we have the NBA defending champs, the Wizards who should make the playoffs, the Hawks, who will be a fringe playoff team, followed by the Magic and Bobcats, who are further along in their rebuilds and therefore should be better than the Suns.

This would give the Suns a decent chance at the number one draft pick in a highly touted draft in 2014 that could be one of the best drafts in NBA history.
