The Nuggets also had some injury issues with Danilo Gallinari going down making their playoff run stop short of where it would have gone. They kind of got gutted in the offseason. They lost Andre Iguodala, Kosta Kuofos and added Nate Robinson and Darrell Arthur. That’s getting worse, but not so bad they will be in the draft lottery. They got rid of long-time Nuggets coach George Carl and replaced him with former Lakers and Pacers assistant coach Brian Shaw. With Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler, Javale McGee, J.J. Hickson, Andre Miller, Timofey Mosgov and Nuggets are on their way to either first-round sweep or missing the playoffs altogether, but just barely, which is more heartbreaking.
So, in this division, the Thunder are an elite team, Minnesota will probably make the playoffs, Portland, Utah and Denver are all fringe playoff teams. So all these teams will be better than the Phoenix Suns this upcoming year, which bodes well for our draft position.
