  • Portland Trailblazers – David MacKay (Rip City Project)

Portland general manager, Neil Olshey, may not have made the biggest splash in free agency, but every drop in the bucket counts. As a team initiating stage 2 of their rebuilding process, the Blazers came into the offseason with glaring needs. Their bench had been the worst in the NBA, bar-none, but after extending exactly 0 qualifying offers, each Portland free agent was swept away. Through some savvy trading, the Blazers added Thomas Robinson and Robin Lopez to their newest acquisitions (draftees CJ McCollum and Allen Crabbe). Throw in signing free agents Dorell Wright and Earl Watson, and Portland has new players at every position. There is nowhere to go but up, and the new roster has a much higher conglomerated ceiling. Playoffs, however, are still no guarantee.
