With the first weekend of games almost in the books . . . is your bracket totally busted? Anyway, with the tourney in full swing I thought I would look at and rank the current Suns’ players’ best college tournament appearances.

Four players on the Suns roster are foreign-born and therefore never played at an American college. Those players are Goran Dragic, Luis Scola, Marcin Gortat and Hamed Haddadi. The only other player who didn’t go to college is Jermaine O’Neal, who was too good not to declare for the NBA draft right out of high school. He was only able to go straight to the league, because the NBA mandated year in college hadn’t been enacted when O’Neal was reading to start his professional career.

That leaves the rest of the roster that went to college to vie for the tourney team that made it the farthest.
