When You Lose an Easy Game a Suns Fans Cries: Suns vs Warriors Game Grades

Welcome to Phoenix fandom.

The Suns blew a second half lead in what can only be called a creepy hurry. Who performed, who didn’t? Let’s see:

Marcin Gortat: A+
Gortat matched his career high with 25 points while grabbing 12 boards. You just can’t ask more from him. Simply can’t.
Steve Nash: A-
Yes, Steve Nash gets a minus. And no, I am not drunk. The truth is Nash was insanely passive in the way he played. I mean, six shots taken? Come on. 14 assists sounds nice, but I’d much rather see the Steve Nash from Dallas in times like these.
Jared Dudley: B+
Jared played well. I’m going to forgive the two missed threes in crunch time, because it really could’ve happened to anyone. He wasn’t bad, he was just alright. There.
Channing  Frye: B
Channing shot 17 shots. That’s as much as Marcin did. He only hit 7 of them though. The return of his bricklaying has really been a major hurdle for the Suns in this game. Sure, he scored 18 points. He should thank the Dubs for playing him small. He also was absolutely disconnected on D. But, alas, he scored points, and he kept the game close at times, so he has to get a better grade.
Grant Hill: B
Grant Hill may not have been aggressive enough on offence. I mean, perhaps if he took some of the shots away from Channing Frye… Another thing was his defence, though. He held Monta to 5-20 shooting. All hail the defensive king!
Josh Childress: B-
Josh should really get more looks. He’s efficient, solid around the rim, and he can score. I really don’t understand why Alvin can’t call a play for him and settles for Bassy Telfair’s shenanigans instead.
The Rest of the Bench: F
The Bench lost this game for the Suns, and I’m not going to painfully dive into them one by one. It was a collective failure. A terrible, collective failure. I put Childress on a pedestal, because he showed effort consistently. The rest? Not so much.
