Suns vs Rockets Game Preview: This Time, Try Harder

On the eve of Steve Nash’s eighth All-Star selection, the Suns will be facing off the Rockets in a pivotal game.

All of us Suns blogger have been playing down the team, calling it terrible, and yet, the Suns are only 3.5 games behind the 4th seed Houston Rockets. The Rockets that they’ll be facing tonight.

There were some rumblings that after hurting his elbow in yesterday’s game against Portland, Kyle Lowry would not appear. However, according to Paul Coro of Arizona Republic, Coach Kevin McHale said he expects Lowry to play. Lowry has been having a tremendous season so far, and seeing him fit might be a problem for the Suns.

On the other hand, however, the Suns have a distinct advantage — The Rockets played yesterday in Portland, and while their bench did a lot of the work the travel might tire out the veterans like Luis Scola and Samuel Dalembert. That, and the fact that the Suns are pretty good against opponents on the wrong end of a back-to-back (let’s just forget about that loss to the Mavs), coming out strong and with energy.

So, classically:
Can the Suns win? Yes.
Will the Suns win? Hell knows. Hell knows.

Adam’s Suggestions:
Channing Frye has been responding to my criticism well…. So I won’t stop criticizing him. Don’t trust him.
