Suns vs Hornets Game Preview

And again we go.
Two games with the Hornets, split 1-1…
Yeah, that’s not quite how we imagined our record with the post-Paul Hornets would be when we first saw the schedule.
Yet, Eric Gordon won’t play yet again, and neither will be backup big man Chris Kaman, who is sitting out in anticipation of a trade.
For the Suns, Steve Nash will be back, which should seal the vic…
Wait. You just never know. The Suns have a mysterious ability to lose easy wins. And this might be no different.
The Suns will have to contain Jarret Jack and Carl Landry, something they’ve had trouble with the last time out against the Hornets, and they’ll also have to produce offensively.
While the starting lineup is coming back to life (except for Channing Frye), the bench still has trouble scoring, causing Alvin Gentry to flip his rotations around, giving Steve Nash early rests and early entrances in the 2nd quarter. Whatever happens, this bench must perform if the Suns are going to win this. The only question is… Do you want to win this? The playoffs seem like a mean joke by now, and “sucking for Anthony Davis” might just be the way the Suns should go.
But what do I know? Some people (namely, Steve Nash, Marcin Gortat) like to fight until the bitter end.
Adam’s Suggestion:
Give the ball to Marcin Gortat in the post. He’s been effective from that position. Even if he’s going to be guarded by Emeka Okafor, just give him a shot at it. If he’s going to be the best player in this team next season, he needs to do this. A lot.
