So, today I had a little exchange with Josh Hill from Fansided’s Bulls blog — Pippen Ain’t Easy, I asked him about the Bulls, he asked me about the Suns, you can read my answers on his blog, if you want to hear more of my musings.
Either way, I’ll admit I’m guilty of not watching a lot of Bulls. If you are too, you can read what Josh has to say right here:
1. The Bulls held the best record in the league last season, and this season they’re second behind only the Thunder (incidentally, another very young team). Do you expect the Bulls to be in this position come season end?
I believe they will be at the top, no doubt about that. It’s just how high will they be. Right now the cream isn’t really separating so you have a lot of teams that may not be near the top at the end that are there now. But right now the Bulls could be in trouble. They showed a real lack of depth against the Grizzlies and with the Pacers, as I predicted, hot on their tails if they drop four games like the Suns just did, then not only will they fall from the top, they will get leap frogged by Indiana.
The Bulls should be either right above or right below the Thunder. I’ve felt since last year that these two teams are identical. I was actually in favor of a Bulls-Thunder Finals and that could very well happened again this year. Either way the Bulls will be at the top, it’s just how high up they finish is the question.
