You know, I liked Sebastian Telfair’s enthusiasm to begin with, but it seems that enthusiasm didn’t turn into effectiveness this time. While one scrimmage isn’t much of a measure, Telfair didn’t show any skills there. He was lost, and lucky to have Brown and Hill to play on offence. While his defence was ok, this won’t be what the Suns needs, especially that Price looked much better on both sides of the floor.

Price is a veteran of sorts, liked by fans in Utah a lot for his defence and hustle. And this is exactly what he’ll bring to the Suns, as seen in the scrimmage. He might’ve missed a dunk, but he also made a lot of good plays and passes. While his synergy stats from last season look underwhelming, it’s good to know he’s a good defender in isolation and on pick and rolls, something that this second unit will have trouble with, given that Robin Lopez is pretty immobile when defending the man. Stopping the ball-handler from making a pass, might help here.

Price is a positive addition, and hopefully his rivalry with Telfair will help them both. The only problem? Zabian Dowdell was cut in his favour. And you all know how I love Zabian Dowdell
