Oh, poor Garret Siler. Stuck behind the scrubalicious version of Robin Lopez last year, that must’ve been deflating. And yet, he kept on pushing and pushing, until he got some minutes, and some team-funded time with Hakeem Olajuwon (which, by the way, made Lopez so jealous, he took bought some time from his own wallet), which basically meant the team wanted to do two things: commit to Siler, and motivate Robin Lopez. And from what I’ve seen in yesterday’s intra-squad scrimmage, both of them showed up. Siler hustled, played solid D and got some points on putbacks.

Let’s keep this simple, Siler has potential to be a solid backup. All he needs to do is improve his offensive game, and he’ll be able to keep challenging Robin Lopez for minutes.

And except for that, there’s not much to say.
