Billy Hunter believes the players and owners are “within striking distance” of a deal, but as Derek Fisher cautioned, “It gets tougher towards the end.”

Every NBA fan must be overjoyed that progress appears to have been made, but any pragmatic follower understands there’s still much compromise to accomplish on the thorny BRI issue that plagued these negotiations so last week.

The terms of this giveaway are simple. Predict the exact date that the Phoenix Suns will next play a regular season home game by posting your guess on the wall of our Facebook page and you will two free tickets to that game as well as a ValleyoftheSuns T-shirt, pictured to the right. The entry period begins now and will continue until an agreement is reached and the next official NBA schedule is announced, be it an adjusted/truncated 2011-12 version or worse.
