Suns' Charity Clothing Drive

It’s similar to the Hell’s Angels teaming up with local fire departments to sponsor “Toys for Tots”, minus the criminal underbelly and drug trafficking.

When the Sacramento Kings come to Phoenix on Sunday, they’ll be greeted by a Suns team both looking to climb into the eighth seed in the West and looking for some new threads. The Suns and Swift Charities are joining forces on the 13th to host a clothing drive at US Airways Center. Fans are encouraged to bring lightly worn clothing to one of two donation sites (the plaza entrance and the Bud Light Paseo entrance). Minimum five-dollar donations will also be accepted.

Bring your slightly worn clothes for donation on Sunday, and Jared Dudley might give you one of his jerseys in return! No, really!

Fans who donate have a chance (during a halftime raffle that night) to win one of 4 prizes: A Jared Dudley autographed jersey, a Channing Frye photograph, or one of two Grant Hill or Goran Dragic autographed hats. Rumor has it that Dragic’s recent laceration on his foot was actually done so that he could sign his hat in a little more…personal…ink.*

*There are no rumors along these lines. The person responsible for researching autographs and injuries (unfortunately, the same staffer) has been fired.

Come enjoy a Suns victory against the Kings on Sunday night, and help out those who are less fortunate than you! Your charity may very well be rewarded with some new clothing of your own.
