Turf Paradise will celebrate its 55th anniversary with the seventh annual running of the Cotton Fitzsimmons Mile this Saturday.
Fitzsimmons, who coached the Suns in three different decades and also worked as a team executive and broadcaster before his death in 2004, was a horse racing enthusiast and a frequent patron of Turf Paradise.
