Hedo Turkoglu has gall bladder surgery

Posted by on July 17th, 2:22 pm

It’s no big deal, according to head coach Alvin Gentry, but new Suns forward Hedo Turkoglu underwent minor gall bladder surgery last week in Turkey, according to a Turkish news site.

“We checked with the doctors, and it’s a minor procedure,” Gentry told The Arizona Republic. “He (was) just having some gallstones removed. He’s supposed to be playing in three to four days and has been cleared to travel next week.”

It’s always a little scary to hear of a newly-acquired player undergoing surgery, but this appears to be about as minor as they come and should not put a damper on the Suns’ acquisition.

Michael Schwartz founded ValleyoftheSuns in October 2008 and is the owner/editor emeritus of the site. He is currently working toward his MBA in sports business at San Diego State University.

Yuck. Everybody be sure to wash your hands after responding to the thread… unless you're in the hot market for a markdown Jordan Farmar jersey.

Yeah, that unfortunately happens once in a while. It happened all too often during the acutal Lakers series. Gross indeed……
