Just after the long All Star Game break, the Suns came out flat.

Rust was evident once more. Like Alvin says, "Suns are a rhythm team." Zone and small ball. They were answers but just too late. "TINY BALL" would have been best.

What was the best that was tried was the combo of Frye, Barbosa, Louis, Dud & Gogi. Just not enough of them, particularly to finish the game. Must be nuts to even consider trading Leandro The Laker Killer.

MUST start and also finish with LB. Let's go SUNS!!!!

Interesting.
Nash-Richardson-Hill-Amare-Lopez is indeed probably the best line up to counter the trio.

Here is the entire list of how Phoenix can beat the Lakers:

1.) Have a hot shooting night.

That's it. You can't defend or out-rebound three 7-footers, you can't double Kobe, and you can't run an offense predicated on 3-pointers against the team with the top 3-pointer defense in the league. There is no complex or meticulous strategy needed here. LA has size in virtually every position and with equal or greater skill (except PG, of course). Your only hope is to shoot the lights out for 4 straight quarters.

Keep in mind though, that if there is any team in the NBA that can do that, it's the Suns. Statwise, they have one of the best offenses in NBA *history*, and all it takes is two good minutes of a 15-0 Phoenix run to get the momentum to swing their way. Is it plausible? No. But possible? Yes. Even if Lakers take a 3-0 lead in this series, it would be very foolish to sleep on them for even one game.

I still say Lakers in 5 (6 at most), but I don't hold it past the Suns to light up and explode and push this to 7 - where anything can happen.

I think the Suns bench will come out and perform better tonight, possibly out shooting the Lakers bench. But the Lakers good defense is going to help cool them off. You can't take away the Suns good perimeter shooting unless you have great defense. And the Lakers have great defense. I think the Lakers starters are better though, and that was very clear in the first game. They basically had their way after a very small slow start. Phoenix will have to maintain any momentum they have for 48 minutes.

May the best team win (GO LAKERS) and good luck Suns fans.
