[...] That score makes it look a lot closer than it really was. The Phoenix Suns were in complete control from start to finish. Steve Nash almost had a triple double but couldn’t get two more rebounds before coming out. He finished with 23 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Amare Stoudemire had another great game, with 30 points and 9 rebounds. The Suns have won their last 5 games , 4-0 on the road. It’s hard to believe this is the same team people felt had no chance to make the playoffs. They are now in the middle of the pack with a number 5 seed for now.
I give a lot of credit to Alvin Gentry for this road trip. Of course, players did very well, but Alvin Gentry called a timeout and made adjustment at the game-changing moment in every game. He looked he never wanted to blow up the lead anymore. That's exactly what coach needs to do in the game.

Anyway, Suns have 30 games left and 16 games are against the western conference playoff contenders. (H : 10, A : 6)

LA Lakers (H: 1)
Denver (H: 2)
Utah (H : 2, A : 1)
Dallas (A : 1)
Portland (H : 2)
San Antonio (H : 1, A : 1)
Oklahoma City (A : 2)
Memphis (A : 1)
New Orleans (H : 1)
Houston (H : 1)

The schedule is still very tough. However if Suns win more than 60% (10 or more games), they can have homecourt advantage in the playoff. Why is it important? Because Suns are going to play against one of those teams in the playoff and they have lost games at LA, Denver, Utah, Dallas, Portland, Memphis, and New Orleans at least once. So it's very important to take care of the business at home.

All in all, hope to see Suns in the playoff again.

Jake - Very good!!!!

Suns must keep Nash from getting hurt. If they do this and Gentry continues to learn how to be a better coach, the Suns could be the playoff team others don't want to have to play, particularly if we can begin the playoffs at home.

Keep in mind that because our young guys are developing and STAT is healthy and focused, we have indeed made real improvement over that Suns team that started out fast out of the gate. When LB comes back (the REAL LB) without the cyst, we will take another step towards being a Suns team that comes together at the perfect time.

MUST start and also finish with LB. Ley's go SUNS!!!!
