Fropez out 6-8 weeks with broken foot

And just like that Channing Frye’s role got that much bigger.

Frye will be alone at the center spot after Robin Lopez undergoes surgery Tuesday to repair his broken left foot that he injured during Saturday’s scrimmage taking the ball to the hole. The prognosis calls for Lopez to miss 6-8 weeks, which means he will miss at least a few weeks of the regular season.

The Suns are offering fans a chance to send Lopez a get-well card on the team’s Web site.
