Although Steve Nash continues to put in endless hours of work on the court, he is constantly pursuing his dreams outside of basketball — video production and acting. Nash will elevate his acting game to a new level when he appears on HBO’s original series Entourage this Sunday night.
Those who aren’t quite familiar with Nash off of the court may wonder, why Steve Nash? But as most Suns fans know, Nash owns his own production company — Meathawk — and has starred in a variety of commercials and original videos.
Some of the most notable:
While all of these videos are entertaining and hilarious, they are no Entourage. Entourage is like the All-Star Game of HBO, the NBA Finals of Sunday night TV. Does Nash have what it takes?
On his Facebook page MVSteve admitted to his lack of TV experience and his never-ending butterflies leading up to the scene. Nash wrote, “Yes, I was excited to do this, but I’d never acted with real actors on real TV so you may forgive me for the butterflies.”
He described the scene as “small but much more than I expected.”
Who knows how Nash will perform during the defining moment of his acting career. Will he choke and sink his acting career for good or will he shine in the spotlight and pave the way for a long and illustrious acting career? Stay tuned for VotS’s Sunday night recap of Nash’s performance on Entourage.
Suns fans who make a $100 donation to the Steve Nash Foundation any time this week will be entered to win an authentic show poster autographed by cast members of the show. Suns fans who watch the show can also write a review of Nash’s performance for a chance to win a Nash-designed “We are One” T-shirt.
