The Suns entered the offseason hoping to get lucky enough in the lottery to draft a Griffin.
They received no such luck, but they still came up with a Griffin anyway after selecting Blake’s big brother Taylor Griffin with the No. 48 overall pick in the second round.
This, of course, marks the second straight year the Suns drafted the less-heralded brother of a lottery pick after picking Brook’s twin Robin Lopez last season.
This Griffin is a 6-8, 235-pound tweener forward, with more of power forward skills but a small forward body. He’s a great hustle guy, but when you’re a poor man’s Lou Amundson playing on the same team as Lou, you’re not likely to get a lot of time.
I just don’t see where Griffin helps the Suns greatly.
Well, that is unless this makes the Suns the frontrunners in the 2016 Blake Griffin Sweepstakes.
