I believe Suns should keep Shaq because aside from the veteran leadership he provides for the young big men on this team, he makes the camaraderie very strong.

Good stuff. I am always glad that I come read your posts. I think you and I were on the same page this season. I held out hope all the way till they lost Dallas that last time. After that I had no hope. I just went into mourning for a while.
Anyway. Nice analysis. At first, right after they lost to Dallas, I was thinking "Trade Shaq?...But for whom?" We obviously need some kind of high powered or at least efficient center. But where do we get that? I was wondering if we could pull off a kind of Laker-esque 3-post offense with no "true" center. It might be the kind of change we need. That way Amare has some freedom and space to move but he doesnt have to be the pick-and-roll defense option and all the rebound onus doesn't go on him. A Shaq trade could help us pick up a nother solid defensive minded, rebounding big to play that other part of the Triangle and then fill it in with Hill. The other acquisition should be a good perimeter defensive player and a good rookie out of college.
The other thought I had was keeping Shaq and trading JRich. Now, I was all for the trade. I liked (and still like) Diaw and Bell but they really werent pulling their weight. But so far, JRich has not done anything to impress upon me his importance. He is a mediocre defender (not saying much on the Suns) but worst of all his ability to score only started helping out the Suns after Amare got hurt. Before then he was really struggling to get going. A trade for him would allow us to keep Shaq and shed some payroll. Then we could pick up a solid defender/shooter. Someone who didn't need the ball all the time or maybe even a big of a replacement.
Definitely think we need to drop Barnes. I was so psyched about him at the beginning of the year but he was a total disappointment. Its sad. I like him as a person but not as a Sun.
Everything else was a great positive for our team. Dragic came out of his shell. Lopez started looking good. Dudley! Yes here is a guy we have GOT to keep around. I knew he would be good for us. Keep Lou. You can never have too many cheap, passion players. The big question for bench players is Alando. I have this bad feeling that if we trade him he will break out in a major way but he is coming along really slowly...I dont know. I guess we will see.
Great post! Keep it up.
