[...] Although it sounds like whining to the rest of the world, you can’t deny that the Suns were robbed of a possible championship by a number of unfortunate breaks, as previously described ad nauseum. [...]

How lovely is it to watch the Suns implode. A few years back the snobby Suns funs were all the rage and looked down on those lowly Laker fans with their selfish star. We don't need Kobe we have a team! We share! We don't play D but isn't it fun to watch us? Mocking the Lakers was all the rage too. From their coach to their players.

The moral of the story is: exploit your opportunity. Like this well-written article suggests. Suns had their chance. And they blew it. Don't make the problem worse by panicking.

I agree -- the Suns are responsible for losing. I don't blame SA for anything.

I just hate the way they play, which has nothing to do with the Suns. I don't hate the Spurs because they beat the Suns, I hate them because I get tired of watching them game the refs and earn extra possessions or FTs.

The wide-open innocent eyes of Duncan after every foul call, the flopping of [insert Spurs player name here] and Bowen's "defense" are all reasons why people don't particularly enjoy watching the Spurs.

Their brand of basketball is unique, effective and proven. Unfortunately, it's dreadfully irritating to watch, and if you're not a Spurs fan, chances are that you hate them.

So you either think they are a great team who wins with old-school play and teamwork or they are the dirty guys willing to flop, claw, cry and injure people along the way to victory.

I'd bet most people who love basketball cheer against San Antonio. When Timmy and Bowen are too old to play and their style of basketball gets phased out, NBA fans everywhere will be glad it's over.

Oddly enough, so will the NBA itself -- good Finals ratings are always a plus.

the wining is not necessary and i am a die hard suns fan. i always thaught that the dallas series was lost on bad coaching and bad defense. that series was winnable and we blew it.
and game 5 against SA after the suspesions was also winnable and was lost on bad coaching and bad defense. we have no one to blame but ourselves the suns were in situations they should have won with their backs against the wall, they had good teams and they lost games they had to win purely because of bad coaching and poor defense. no one else to blame.

Vemos

That is loser talk. Nash and Hill are good guys and Duncan , Parker and Ginobili are not???? What made them good guys???Being lovable losers?? Having talent alone doesn't make winners. Mcgrady, Carter, Nash, Amare are all extremely talented but they are not winners. They don't bring their best when it is time to win. Everthing else is cheap talk and hate.

Spurs are cheapshot, dirty playing MFs and always have been. But they win games. And Popovich is a right asshole, but he wins games. Good guys like Nash, Hill, et al: I'd rather have them on my team, as long as I wasn't trying to win a title. And Nash could be right: I'd rather play the game the ways it's supposed to be played than win a championship in Spur-ious style.

You didn't even mention the curse that is Grant Hill -- that none of his teams ever gets out of the first round, and all of his teams get worse over time. Not to mention that when he leaves, his old team immediately improves. Neither Hill or Shaq belong in a D'antoni system.

And I can't believe Kerr didn't know that when he signed or traded for either of them. He was intentionally killing any chance D'Antoni had of succeeding. Good job Steve.

God - What a bunch of whiny ass losers. All you guys know is excuses. None of those guys have the winning menatlity. Even now, Kerr brings a defensive minded coach and all they do is give up like brats.
