Jason Richardson picked a good time for another traffic violation to go under the radar.
J-Rich has been charged with driving 90 in a 35 Sunday night, Scottsdale police told The Arizona Republic, after which he was arrested and taken to Scottsdale City Jail.
Worst of all, J-Rich’s 3-year-old son was in the backseat without a child seat, a violation of state law although he was seat belted.
The Republic reported J-Rich is being charged with “endangerment, reckless driving, failure to use a child seat and two charges of excessive speed,” this on top of his Dec. 21 arrest on suspicion of DUI.
For those actions, The Associated Press reported the Suns have suspended Richardson for one game due to “conduct detrimental to the team.” He will miss Tuesday’s contest against the Clippers.
But with Terry Porter rolling out of town along with the All-Star hoopla, this transgression won’t get the play it deserves.
