Game Thread: Kings (11-38) at Suns (25-20)

Suns 129, Kings 81

Ordinarily, I would consider this an easy win and be tempted to put it in the ‘W’ column hours before the Kings’ flight even touches down at Sky Harbor.

After all, the Suns’ January struggles pale in comparison to those of the Kings, who suffered through a 2-14 month and at one point lost eight straight. Overall they’ve won just three of 25 away from ARCO Arena.

They also rank 25th in offensive efficiency, dead last in defensive efficiency and have only one player (Kevin Martin) who really scares me.

But the way the Suns are losing to bad teams at home left and right, I’d consider this more or less a must-win game instead.

This is an awfully strange game to label as a “must-win,” but think about it, what would the reaction be if the Suns actually drop this one?

I sure wouldn’t want to be Terry Porter or Steve Kerr, who better bring a sleeping bag to the arena just in case this turns into a very late night.
