Of course, I should have checked the Valley of the Suns for this answer. This is extraordinarily frustrating and confusing. Granted, lots Tucson people have some Napoleon complex with Phoenix but I'm sure there are enough Suns fans here to make it worthwhile to air.

There's one issue. Tucsonans don't generally root for Phoenix teams. I run into more Spurs fans (back from the Sean Elliot days, of all things) than Suns fans. TV availability has very little to do with it -- it's that we, as Tucsonans, are culturally distinct from Phoenix and have little interest in the sports teams. The transplants that Tucson gets bring their team allegiances from their home towns.

Steve Kerr as a GM does help a little. A Wildcat selected with a first round pick rather than selling them off would probably do more than local TV, however.
